Celtic seal double signing of youth prospects as duo pen long term deals

Celtic have recruited Justin Osagie from West Ham United as the club confirmed a double youth-signing.

17-year-old Osagie has penned a three-year-deal and joins the Hoops youth ranks along with 16-year-old Francis Turley, who has signed from Glentoran. Defender Osagie has also signed a three-year deal and the former West Ham kid has already earned a cap with the U-19s Republic of Ireland team. He will join former Celtic captain Stephen MacManus’ B team, which is also coached by ex-Celt Darren O’Dea. Midfielder Turley will go into Celtic’s Under-18s managed by Stuart McLaren.

In a statement, the Parkhead Club said: “Celtic have today completed the signings of Justin Osagie and Francis Turley, with both players joining the club on three-year contracts. Seventeen-year-old Justin, who had previously been a youth with West Ham United, will go into the B team squad, while 16-year-old Francis, whose previous club was Glentoran, will play with the Under-18s.
