Celtic have reportedly bid £5million, with another £5m in add-ons, for Aston Villa attacker Louie Barry, although a permanent switch to Parkhead doesn't seem likely.
The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at English League One side Stockport County, where he scored 16 goals and registered two assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.
Such form sparked interest from the Scottish Premiership champions who, according to a report from MailSport, have made a bid which could rise to £10m for the winger. French side Lens have offered £6m up front, with further add-ons.
Villa boss Unai Emery, however, has given the green light for the Englishman to be handed a new long-term contract in Birmingham before deciding whether to send him out on loan until the end of the season or keep him for the second half of the campaign.

Therefore, if Barry is to make the move north of the border, it doesn't look like it will be on a permanent basis.
The news comes as Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers continues his hunt for a left winger to strengthen his squad this month.
Spanish wide-man Raul Moro has also been linked with a move to Scotland from Real Valladolid, while left-back Kieran Tierney is reportedly 'close' to an emotional Parkhead return.
