Liel Abada has been named as part of a prestigious list of 40 rising talents tipped to take European football by storm in 2023.
UEFA has compiled a record of the best around with it's network of reporters, correspondents and editors from across the continent working hard to produce the final 'watchlist'. All players featured must be 21 or under at the start of the year and with some major names previously making the cut over the years including Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Mykhailo Mudryk.
It's huge recognition for the Celtic man as he continues to impress for Ange Postecoglou's side since his arrival in Scottish football. He has already registered nine goals and four assists in all competitions this season and has experienced playing at the very top level in club football with five Champions League group stage appearances against the likes of Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig.
The UEFA description of the attacker reads: "An incisive passer and confident finisher, the Israeli attacking midfielder won the 2021/22 Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award in his first season following his switch from Maccabi Petah Tikva and is already in double figure for goals across club and country this term."
His performances for the Scottish champions have not only caught the eye of those at UEFA with clubs in England's Premier League already following his progress.
The 21-year-old is already a full international for Israel. He's currently contracted at Celtic until 2026 and will no doubt have a huge role to play in any success heading to Parkhead.
Postecoglou and Co hold a nine point lead over Rangers at the top of the Premiership following a thrilling 2-2 derby day draw at Ibrox last time out.
They've also got a Hampden semi-final on the horizon in the Viaplay Cup while they are set to kick-off their Scottish Cup bid later this month with a domestic Treble still on.
