As you'd predict, the Old Firm are at the top of the social media table, with Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart taking the lead with 1.4 million followers on Instagram.
The Celtic keeper is currently the most influential Scottish Premier League player on Instagram. The former England number one receives on average 20,648 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 1.46%, and can make up to £3,839 for a sponsored post.
Online casino comparison site KingCasinoBonus ran a social analysis of the most influential players from each SPL team, as they reveal who is on top of their social media game as well as follower engagement rates and potential earnings from sponsored posts.
Coming in second we have Rangers FC's Ianis Hagi. The Romanian midfielder is their most influential player on the pitch with 353,000 followers. On average his posts will receive 23,285 likes which more than any other player in the Scottish Premier League, his account has an engagement rate of 6.61%, and can make up to £1,440 per sponsored post.
Unexpectedly, Sean Goss is Motherwell’s most followed player on Instagram with 133,000 followers, perhaps due to his appearance at Queen Park Rangers. With analysis being limited due to his page currently being set to private, it is estimated that Goss could earn up to £545 per sponsored post if he chose to make it public.
Next we have Heart of Midlothian player Robert Snodgrass with 120,000 Instagram fans. The midfielder's page is also set to private, however, it has been estimated that he could earn up to £496 per sponsored post on Instagram.
Welsh Dylan Levitt takes the lead at Dundee United with 111,000 followers. Levitt gets on average 6,616 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 5.89%, and can earn up to £464 per sponsored post on the Instagram platform.
Hibernian defender, Will Fish is the most influential player at Easter Road with 87,600 followers. The loanee from Manchester United receives on average 8,004 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 10.35%, and can earn up to £433 for a sponsored post.
For Aberdeen FC we have Liverpool's Leighton Clarkson with 72,900 Instagram fans. The loanee gets on average 5,580 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 7.70%, and can earn up to £403 per sponsored post.
Connor Randall is taking the lead at Ross County with 67,200 followers. The English defender gains on average 382 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 0.57%, and can make up to £365 per sponsored post.
Livingston’s most influential on Instagram is English goalkeeper Shamal George with 43,600 followers. George gets on average 834 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 1.93%, and can make up to £298 per post.
At St. Johnstone, Glaswegian winger Jamie Murphy dominates with 33,700 followers. Murphy gets 1,310 likes per post on average, has an engagement rate of 3.86%, and can earn up to £238 per sponsored post.
St. Mirren striker Tony Watt is the teams most influential player with 33,500 followers. The North Lanarkshire born forward is currently on loan from Dundee United. Watt gets 1,329 likes per post on average, has an engagement rate of 3.96%, and can make up to £236 per sponsored post.
Last but not least, Kilmarnock FC's Ash Taylor dominates the social media game at Rugby Park with 18,100 followers on Instagram. On average the defender gets 739 likes per post, has an engagement rate of 4.10%, and can earn up to £157 for a sponsored post.

“While it may be unsurprising that Celtic boasts the most followed Scottish Premier League player, it is unusual to see the top spot held by a goalkeeper rather than the likes of a striker or midfielder, such as Ianis Hagi.
“The former England number one has however had a longer career to amass his Instagram following, given that he is now closing in on retirement age. His prior stints at several English Premier League teams, as well as playing for the England squad, likely bolstered his online following over several years, even prior to his move to Celtic.”
