Celtic's 21st-place finish in the Champions League has pocketed the Scottish Premiership champions MORE in bonus prize money than the team that finishes first in the Europa League.
As per Scotland's Coefficient, Celtic earned a bonus €5.4m and 0.2 Coefficient points for Scotland's total for finishing 21st place.
Last night, their position was confirmed following their 4-2 defeat to Aston Villa.
With that result, it was confirmed that the Hoops will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the play-off.

In total, Celtic have earned a whopping €32m in the league phase of the Champions League.
Interestingly though, according to Scotland's Coefficient on X, the €5.4m pocketed in bonus prize money for their final place is more than the team that finishes top of the Europa League league phase will receive. That figure stands at €5.05m.
While this much is confirmed, it is not yet confirmed if Celtic will earn more from their Champions League venture than the eventual winner of the Europa League.
However, it is believed that is likely to be the case.
Lazio sit top of the Europa League table, and that won't change unless they lose to Braga this evening, and there is a seven-goal swing in the favour of Eintracht Frankfurt or Athletic Bilbao.
Rangers sit 13th in the Europa League standings heading into the final matchday tonight, when they will take on Union Saint-Gilloise at Ibrox.
A win would guarantee them a seeded spot in the play-off, while it could also be enough to see them finish in the top eight if other results go their way.
