Celtic's David Turnbull pounces on Rangers howler to grab first Old Firm goal in derby demolition

Wishaw star David Turnbull netted his first Old Firm goal as Celtic demolished Rangers in today's derby clash.

The Hoops ran out 4-0 winners at Parkhead following a blistering first-half display that had the game swen up before half-time, thanks to a double from Liel Abada and an exquisite finish from Jota.

And substitute Turnbull added some gloss to the scoreline 12 minutes from time when Rangers goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin gifted him the ball with a slack pass on the edge of the box.

The former Motherwell man made no mistake to find the bottom corner and help put Celtic five points clear of their rivals at the top of the Premiership after just six games.

It was also Turnbull's 20th goal for the club following his big money move from the Steelmen in August 2020.
