Celtic's cup final allocation revealed as Hoops to gain majority of seats

Celtic supporters will take up the vast majority of Hampden Park at the Scottish Cup final, according to latest reports.

The Parkhead club is to be given the vast majority of ticket allocation, according to the Scottish Sun, with opponents Inverness Caledonian Thistle being offered up to 10,000 tickets for the clash, as both sides will face off at the national stadium in the hope of securing the last piece of silverware available this season.

The game at Mount Florida will be under the lights, as the two sides will meet in a 5.30pm kick-off on June 3.

Thistle, who won the competition in 2015 over last Saturday's opponents Falkirk 3-0, sold just 4,000 seats at the weekend, and it is believed that the Highland club will be allocated 8,000 for the final against Celtic, with scope for more if the demand is there.

Celtic, a side chasing a record-breaking eighth domestic treble, will look to exact revenge on the Scottish Championship side for that 2015 humbling, who are still in the race to finish in the play-off places in the league.

The Glasgow team have all but wrapped up the league title, as a win against Hearts will confirm their position as champions of Scotland, to go along with their League Cup success earlier on in the year against fiercest rivals Rangers.

Meanwhile, Steven Naismith insists delaying Celtic’s ‘irrelevant’ march towards the title will not form part of his team talk as Hearts chase down third place.

The Gorgie side are desperate for the win as they attempt to close the five-point gap on Aberdeen in the push for a potential £5 million European group stage place.

And former Rangers, Hearts and Scotland forward Naismith insists he is paying no attention to what Celtic’s objectives are.

Asked if stopping Celtic from picking up silverware would be mentioned to his players, the Hearts interim manager said: “No. For us, Celtic have been the best team over the season, they'll want to win the league.

"Our mindset is about us and what we can do.

"We've got games from now and the end of the season to try and get in the European places and that's got to be our focus."
