Celtic practising penalties for Rangers clash as Ange Postecoglou leaving no Viaplay Cup Final stone unturned

Ange Postecoglou has revealed Celtic are practising penalties to prepare for every scenario and ensure there are no surprise elements to the Viaplay Cup Final.

The Parkhead side face rivals Rangers this Sunday in a massive Hampden clash that will see the Glasgow giants go head to head in the league cup final for the first time since 2019 when Christopher Jullien's strike proved decisive. Both managers have talked up the importance of clinching the first trophy of the season and Michael Beale will be determined to get the silverware monkey off his back early.

But Postecoglou is out to prevent that and his team are leaving no stone unturned ahead of Sunday’s Hampden showdown with Rangers. Postecoglou and his players are covering all bases through their preparation and that includes the prospect of the match going all the way to a shoot-out.

When he was asked if he was practising penalties, Postecoglou joked: “No I don’t mate but the players do!” But having made the quip, he added: “Yeah, you prepare for everything.”
