Celtic power couple Carl Starfelt and Jacynta Gala show off fancy footwork as they enjoy downtime on the beach

Celtic super couple Carl Starfelt and Jacynta Galabadaarachchi showed off their football skills despite the season being over.

The couple, who both play for the green and white hoops, are currently holidaying in Sardinia and decided to find out who has the best skills as they filmed themselves having a kick about on the beach.

In one clip posted to Starfelt's Instagram Story, the pair can be seen in their swimwear as they 'two touch and pass' a ball to see who can keep it up longest.

Jacynta wins in the first round but in the second clip, the pair appear to be doing a keepy-uppy challenge, which the Celtic defender appears to be victorious in.

Yesterday, Jacynta celebrated her 23rd birthday and the pair enjoyed pizza over a stunning sunset view.

Last month, she took a swipe at Sky after they revealed that she was dating Starfelt.

The Celtic playmaker, nominated for both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year award, is irked her relationship with Parkhead defender Starfelt was publicised during last month's Old Firm game. The cameras panned in on her watching the Swedish internationalist before commentator Ian Crocker revealed their romance.

She said: "I think that the TV stations need to focus on the football and not my personal life.

"I don’t think my personal life is anything to do with the game and it did not need to be mentioned. It shouldn’t be everyone’s concern what I am doing in my personal life. I want people to come along and help promote the women’s game rather than worrying about what I am doing away from the pitch. It is my private life.

"If you ask anyone who knows me, I am a very private person. I would love people to come to the games to offer their support but not to pry into things that are of my own concern. In the city every now and then people do come up to me..

“I like it when young girls come up to me and say that they enjoy watching us and that they come to the games. It is good to know that we are giving young players a chance to look up to female players playing for Celtic feels good. It feels like an honour and I don’t take it lightly.”

Jacynta, meanwhile, has revealed that she will commit to Argentina rather than her native Australia. Born just outside Melbourne to a Sri-Lankan father and a half-Argentinian, half-Italian mother, she has kept her options open until now.

She was called into a senior Matildas squad last year but did not play in any games and has instead opted for Argentina after much deliberation.

She said: "Australia is where I grew up and where I was born but I think I will represent Argentina,” she said. “I have had some good conversations with both camps but the Argentina coach, German Portanova, is very interested in me.

"I need to wait for my Argentina passport and then I think that is the path that I will take. I grew up in Australia and I feel Australian but people have always looked at me and said ‘you don’t look Australian.’

"I grew up in a house where my Mum spoke Spanish all the time and she has always wanted me to play for Argentina so that has influenced my decision.”
