Celtic player ratings vs Morton as Kyogo Furuhashi and Aaron Mooy shine in big Scottish Cup win

Celtic kicked off Scottish Cup weekend in style as they battered Greenock Morton at Parkhead.

The Hoops hit the Scottish Championship side for five with a Kyogo Furuhashi double, Aaron Mooy and David Turnbull putting the game out of sight in the first period. Mooy grabbed his second with five minutes left to play in the second period in a big, convincing win for Ange Postecoglou's men. The Scottish champions - who have their eyes on a domestic Treble this campaign - will discover their last 16 opponents after this fourth round triumph tomorrow.

Celtic currently lead Old Firm rivals Rangers by nine points in the race for the Premiership title while they will also come up against Michael Beale's men at Hampden next month in the League Cup Final as they bid for the clean sweep after a double last term. But how did we rate the Hoops in the early kick-off in front of the BBC cameras?

Joe Hart - 6

Morton pressed in opening ten minutes but no real saves to make. Quiet afternoon for Hoops No1.

Alistair Johnston - 6

Took a sore looking one after 22 minutes. Will be ready for a key role with Josip Juranovic moving on. Should have really grabbed his first goal for the Hoops.

Carl Starfelt - 6

The experienced head in the backline with Carter-Vickers not included. Good job beside Kobayashi. Subbed late on.

Yuki Kobayashi - 7

Good early recovery tackle on Jai Quitongo to settle any nerves. A second consecutive start. Did well. Very composed.

Alexandro Bernabei - 6

Another start at left-back with Greg Taylor out injured. Chance to stake his claim with chances limited since arrival.

Callum McGregor - 6

Chance early on that went wide of the goal. Job done at half-time and handed rest. Subbed.

Aaron Mooy - 8

Opening goal of the game from the spot. Calm and composed experienced figure as always. Lick of paint away from a second but wasn't denied with late strike to round-off top afternoon.

David Turnbull - 7

Big chance to impress after a lack of starts. Lots of competition in Hoops midfield. Scored excellent goal and done chances no harm. Smart save away from a second. Adopts good shooting positions. Subbed.

Liel Abada - 7

His shot ended in penalty against Efe Ambrose for opener after VAR check. Always dangerous and a constant threat. Subbed on hour.

Daizen Maeda - 6

Always a danger. Direct running and pace causes havoc. Works so hard forward and back. A real asset.

Kyogo Furuhashi - 8

Can't scoring scoring. Two more goals to his tally as he made it 20 for the season. Superb display. Subbed at break.

Subs

Tomoki Iwata - 5

On for his Celtic debut at half-time.

Sead Haksabanovic - 5

Ideal chance to get 45 minutes under his belt as he builds up fitness after spell out. Will play key role as season goes on. Assist for Mooy.

James Forrest - 5

Five-time Scottish Cup winner. Another 30 minutes under his belt here.

Matt O'Riley - 3

On for final 15 minutes. Now 12 months into his Celtic career. Big player.

Bosun Lawal - 2

On for final few minutes.
