Celtic are out of Europe completely after drawing 1-1 in their final Champions League home match of the season against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Hoops knew they were already heading out of Group F pre-game without a last 16 spot but needed a win here to ensure they go to the Bernabeu and Real Madrid next week with the hope of sealing a Europa League spot post-Christmas. Manager Ange Postecoglou opted for attack as his best form of defence and it paid off in the first half, as Giorgos Giakoumakis scored to put them into a half-time lead.
Mykhaylo Mudryk looked a menace all night for the visitors and his mazy solo goal levelled up proceeding in emphatic fashion, but Kyogo Furuhashi should have levelled up moments later. If he should have scored, Danylo Sikan should have burst the net, but somehow missed an open goal from a yard out. It means the spoils are shared but with the Hoops now four points off Shakhtar with one game to go, they will finish this section bottom. Here is how we rated the Celtic players from their final top table European outing in Glasgow this season.

Joe Hart - 6
Not a lot to do in the match but had to keep on his toes against a dangerous attack. Distribution had to be on point, didn't run into any issues.
Josip Juranovic - 6
Left beat by the brilliance of Shakhtar's leveller. Defended well against Mudryk well enough in the first half but he proved too much on occasion.
Cameron Carter-Vickers - 7
A solid night from the stand-in skipper against a tough forward line, only caught out once against Mudryk. Shakhtar central forwards didn't really get much joy and looked to their scorer for inspiration, partly thanks to the work of CCV.
Moritz Jenz - 7
Looks much more comfortable next to the American international. Is able to step out and pass from the back and there weren't too many errors.
Greg Taylor - 7
Having a brilliant season. Powered down the left to aid Giakoumakis scoring the first goal of the night and defended stoutly on his side. Growing into an undroppable figure.
Reo Hatate - 6
Failed pass attempt allowed his opponents to break and score the leveller. A poor moment when otherwise he helped apply pressing pressure on the Ukrainians. Lacked the killer through ball.
Sead Haksabanovic - 6
Thrown into a central position again. Didn't have much chance to show his attacking credentials but did put in the hard yards once more.
Matt O'Riley - 7
A couple of wayward efforts in midfield but in the right place at the right time on plenty of occasions. Got into good areas and made a vital contribution for the goal.
Liel Abada - 6
A quiet night. Still developing as a player and got lost at points in this one. Getting accustomed to nights on the European stage at this level.
Kyogo Furuhashi - 5
Another who has found it tough on the continent. Was a perennial figure in proceedings and scuffed a shot that should have been buried. Hooked after an hour.
Giorgos Giakoumakis - 9
What a shift from the Greek forward. Instinctive finish in the first half and should have had an assist in the second. Both Shakhtar centre-backs had a torrid time trying to deal with him and struggled against his towering figure. Celebrated with his biceps curled and he certainly looked Celtic's strongest attacker right now.
Aaron Mooy - 4
Thrown on to try and balance out an attack-minded midfield. Made a few forward runs himself but ponderous when near the box.
Daizen Maeda - 5
Couple of pacey runs behind the away defence and almost forced them into scoring an own goal.
James Forrest - 5
Good domestic form rewarded with a chance to shine in Europe. Almost created the winner but O'Riley missed.
David Turnbull - 4
Put fitness problems of late behind him to try and make a difference in this one.
