Celtic player ratings as electric forward Maeda stars in Scottish Cup win

Viljami Sinisalo - 7

On his competitive debut, Sinisalo was precise with his passing and patrolled his box well.

Anthony Ralston - 7

Ralston was solid in his defending keeping Rovers’ main man Easton quiet and even added an assist of his own.

Liam Scales - 6

In an attempt to stake his claim as Cameron Carter-Vickers partner in defence, Scales was solid.

Dane Murray - 8

The youngster was composed in a rare start, stepping into midfield well and starting attacks.

Jefferey Schlupp - 7

Rodgers’ newest addition was a real outlet on the left-hand side with his powerful running and ability to switch the play.

Callum McGregor - 7

McGregor was allowed to get on the ball by Barry Robson’s side and dictated the game. Struck the bar with a thunderous effort early on.

Luke McCowan - 7

McCowan’s cute threaded passes were a problem throughout the game for Raith and he scored Celtic’s third to kill the tie.

Paulo Bernardo- 6

Bernardo was as industrious as ever before having to be withdrawn through an ankle injury before the break.

Nicolas Kühn - 6

Kühn was kept fairly quiet and was unable to impact the game in the same fashion as he has done so often this season.

Daizen Maeda - 9

Celtic’s number 38 added continued his brilliant fun of form, scoring a hattrick in a wonderful performance. Will be a big miss as he is ruled out against Bayern Munich through suspension.

Yang Hyun-Jun - 8

The South Korean was extremely bright and scored as well as providing assists for both Maeda and McCowan.

SUBS

Reo Hatate- 7

After an early introduction, Hatate picked the ball up deep and was able to spread passes at will.

Arne Engels - 6

Fresh off the back of a spectacular midweek performance, Engels showed glimpses of that form off the bench.

Jota - 6

Jota was introduced as his team were in cruise control and didn’t make much of an impact despite the fancy flicks.

Johnny Kenny - 5

Kenny seemed determined to get his first competitive Celtic goal, but it did not fall for the striker.

Maik Nawrocki - 6

In a scarce appearance for the Pole, Nawrocki settled in well into the Celtic rearguard.
