Kasper Schmeichel – A much quieter task at hand compared to Wednesday’s visit of Bayern Munich. Commanded his penalty area well dealing with the occasional United cross, but otherwise a long afternoon for the big Dane. 6
Anthony Ralston – Had to deal with United’s most likely threat, Glenn Middleton, but did so fairly comfortably. Came out on top in a battle of strength against the United wide man. 6
Cameron Carter-Vickers – Dealt with Sam Dalby well. A composed display at the back and barely needed to intervene. Some neat passes out wide. 6
Auston Trusty – Never really called into action. Registered an assist for his ball into Jota’s feet. Almost made it four in added time with a half volley but skewed wide. 6
Jeffrey Schlupp – Combined well with Jota on the left hand side, found himself overlapping and cutting inside on numerous occasions. Nearly grabbed his first goal for the Hoops with a brilliant effort from range that cracked Walton’s post. 7
Hyunjun Yang – Delivered a couple of crosses into the area which were dealt with by United, but a relatively quiet performance from him. Provided the assist for McGregor’s goal. 6
Luke McCowan – A tireless performance against his former Tayside rivals. Constantly driving at United’s back line and provided the link between McGregor and the forwards. Forced a save out of Jack Walton with a clever low driven free-kick in the second half. 8
Callum McGregor – Opened the scoring with his eighth of the season. Carved his way through United’s defence to place the ball beyond Jack Walton. Almost recreated it shortly after but his shot deflected wide. 8
Reo Hatate – A quiet game for the Japanese midfielder. Worked hard running across midfield but saw little of the ball. 6
Jota – Received the roar of the afternoon when he curled in his first goal at Celtic Park since the return. Tormented Adegboyega out wide and notched another hour under his belt as his fitness improves. 7
Adam Idah – Put the finishing touches on a routine win with a wonder-strike late on rifling the ball into the top corner. Offered very little up until then, but showed his quality before being substituted. 6
