Joe Hart has welcomed the capture of Benjamin Siegrist from Dundee United after Ange Postecoglou added further goalkeeping competition to his ranks.
The former England international joined last summer from Tottenham and instantly established himself as the No1 at Celtic and as a fans' favourite. Flop keeper Vasilis Barkas has departed for a season-long loan at FC Utrecht this summer with Scott Bain still on the books as part of the first-team goalies at the club.
Swiss keeper Siegrist is a familiar face to both Hart and the Hoops faithful after a string of fine performances against his new employers over his time at Tannadice. The 30-year-old has arrived at Celtic on a four-year deal as he looks to challenge Hart for the gloves. The ex-Manchester City star is in no doubt the newbie will improve the squad and says he has been great so far.

He told Celtic TV: “Yeah, he’s been great.
"He’s a familiar face with what he did at Dundee United. He’s a big, welcoming guy.
“I think it’s important that we all work together. We appreciate everyone coming in is coming in to make the group better.
“Big Benj is no different, he’s going to improve us as a squad. You can only welcome that.”
Celtic are back in pre-season training as they bid to retain their Premiership crown that they won back from Rangers last season.
They will also be hoping to add further domestic silverware and make a splash in the Champions League with famous nights under the lights heading back to Parkhead.
Postecoglou and Co enter at the group stages of the competition this time around as they get set to mix it with Europe's big boys.
