Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is actively pursuing reinforcements to strengthen his squad, with Slovan Bratislava’s striker David Strelec emerging as the latest target.
The 23-year-old Slovakian international, valued at £8million, made a notable impression during a UEFA Champions League encounter at Parkhead in November.
And now The Daily Record claim his performances have put him you on Rodgers’ list of potential acquisitions.
Strelec has demonstrated his scoring prowess this season, netting 15 times for Slovan Bratislava, including five in the Champions League and its qualifiers.
His group stage goals against Dinamo Zagreb and Atletico Madrid highlight his capability to perform on Europe’s grandest stage.
With seven goals in 28 appearances for the Slovakian national team, his international experience further underscores his potential value to Celtic.

The need for a new frontman has become pressing following the £10m departure of Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes earlier this month.
Rodgers is keen to fill this void promptly and is exploring multiple options.
Kyogo’s deputy Adam Idah showed his capabilities by bagging a brace versus Aston Villa last time out.
In addition to Strelec, Brondby’s Mathias Kvistgaarden is under consideration.
However, negotiations with the Danish club have encountered challenges, primarily due to a significant disparity in the valuation of the player.
Celtic’s potential pursuit of Strelec is not without competition. Middlesbrough has already seen a bid for the forward rejected, as Slovan Bratislava remains firm in their stance that they will only part with their prized asset if their valuation is met.
Strelec’s previous stints in Italy with Spezia and Reggina have contributed to his development, but it is his current form that has caught the attention of clubs aiming to bolster their attacking options.

Rodgers’ determination to invest in quality talent reflects his ambition to enhance Celtic’s competitiveness, both domestically and in European competitions.
Celtic have progressed to the knockout stage of the Champions League for the first time in 12 years and currently sit 10 points clear at the Scottish Premiership summit having played a game less than second-placed Rangers.
