Celtic have made a loan offer for Crystal Palace utility player Jeffrey Schlupp as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his squad before the transfer deadline.
It is understood that a deal between the two clubs is close to being agreed, with the Hoops eager to bring in reinforcements to avoid a frustrating end to the window.
Celtic have already allowed Alex Valle to return to Barcelona early from his season-long loan after the young full-back struggled to make an impact in Glasgow.
Meanwhile, the club’s ambitious attempt to lure Kieran Tierney back from Arsenal during the winter window also fell through, with the Scotland international set to secure a permanent move in the summer instead.

Schlupp, who can operate at left-back, in midfield, or further forward, would provide Rodgers with valuable versatility and competition for places going into the business end of the season.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian has been a reliable performer in the English Premier League, making over 200 appearances for Palace since joining from Leicester City in January 2017.
Schlupp is out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign, and Sky Sports suggest he is very much keen on joining the Scottish Premiership champions.
With the clock ticking down on the transfer window, Celtic will hope to finalise the deal swiftly and avoid any disappointment.
