Scott Brown lapped up the chants from the Fleetwood Town support after creating FA Cup history.
The Celtic hero guided his team into the fifth round of the competition for the first-time ever after a stunning 1-0 fourth round replay win over league rivals and table toppers Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls had upset EPL high-flyers Newcastle United in the previous round but after a 1-1 draw in the first meeting, Carlos Mendes Gomes’ header in the second half proved to be the difference on the night to set up a clash with English Championship runaway table toppers Burnley.
The legendary Parkhead skipper had slammed his team at the weekend branding them 'schoolboy' and 'Sunday League' after defeat to Burton Albion but this performance landed huge pass marks with the gaffer as he expressed his delight with the efforts from everyone involved. He branded his team as 'exceptional' after putting them through 'hell' in the build-up to the showdown.

The supporters clearly appreciated the efforts of both the players and management and at the end of the game sang 'Scott Brown's Red and White Army' with the former Scotland international taking it all in after a fine display at Highbury. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire after landing a spot in the next round of the competition, he said: "We seem to like the cup!
"We were playing an exceptional team and at half time I turned around to see the land of the giants coming on. They brought the big guns on and for us, we were a small team today.
"But what we did do is look after the ball. I am delighted for these lads as I have gave them hell the last couple of days.
"I wasn't happy with the performance in the [Burton Albion] game, there was no composure, we didn't control anything so the last couple of days we have been working hard and watching a lot of videos, getting an understanding of the plan.
"On Saturday nobody listened, today was exceptional, balls in the box we defended with our lives, not the tallest team, but you have to have that aggression and desire. Second half was always going to be a bit deeper.
"I thought the lads were exceptional. I can't thank them enough for taking it in as it was always going to be a hard game, and they stood up to it."
