Celtic kid Dylan Corr to join Raith Rovers as B team star pens pre-contract at Stark's Park

Raith Rovers have completed the pre-contract signing of Celtic B defender Dylan Corr.

The 19-year-old centre-back has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Scottish Championship side and will make the move to Stark's Park once his deal at Parkhead is up.

The stopper was first signed by the Hoops at the aged of just seven and has worked his way through the age groups of the Celtic academy. This season he featured 34 times for the 'B' team in the Lowland League, the SPFL Challenge Cup and in the UEFA Youth League against the likes of the top youngsters at Real Madrid.

Ian Murray has been keeping a close eye on the progress of the Celtic kid throughout the season and is delighted to land his services with numerous full-time clubs keen on snapping up the youngster for next season.

He told the official Raith Rovers website: “I’m really glad Dylan has agreed to sign on with us.

He is a good young centre – half who we have been discussing for some time.

"Dylan has come from a good grounding in football, and we look forward to working with him and progressing his career”

Raith finished the Scottish Championship season in seventh spot as they bid to put together plans to challenge for the top four and play-off positions next season. Out of the ten clubs they were the only ones to have nothing to play for on the final day.
