Celtic injury blow as Jota forced off against Dundee Utd, doubt for Rangers clash

Celtic have been dealt an injury blow as Jota was forced off against Dundee United.

The winger, who played a role in the opening goal at Tannadice, was unable to continue in the first half after a knee injury.

Jota immediately signalled for medical assistance as he fell just after the half-hour, clutching his right knee.

It appears his studs may have caught in the surface and caused an injury to his knee.

Thankfully, Jota was able to walk off the pitch by his own strength but he was clearly in discomfort from the knock. He was replaced by Adam Idah.

Jota had helped Celtic break the deadlock in Dundee as he pressured Ryan Strain in the box forcing the defender to turn the ball into his own net.

The injury knock leaves Celtic sweating over Jota's fitness for the trip to Ibrox next week to face Rangers.
