Celtic injury blow as Bernardo hobbles off days before Bayern Champions League tie

Celtic suffered an injury blow in their Scottish Cup match against Raith Rovers.

Midfielder Paulo Bernardo was forced off after just 37 minutes due to a knock at Celtic Park. He was replaced by Reo Hatate.

Bernardo had gone down after a challenge from Jordan Doherty in the first half.

A free-kick was awarded for the tackle with Bernardo left in discomfort and hobbling off the pitch.

Celtic could now face an injury sweat for the midfielder ahead of the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich in midweek.

Celtic host the Bundesliga giants on Wednesday night in the first leg of the knockout play-off round of the revamped UEFA competition.
