Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has yet more injuries to contend with after a physical battle with League One Alloa, with some huge fixtures looming.
The Hoops didn't take long to assume control of the Scottish Cup tie with goals from Giorgos Giakoumakis and Liel Abada giving them a 2-0 half-time lead.
But in between the two strikes captain Callum McGregor was forced off after taking an elbow to the face.
It was unclear if the injury is to the face or if the midfielder could have suffered concussion but he was unable to continue with James McCarthy replacing him in the engine room.
Abada was then forced off early in the second half as he took a sore one on the ankle.
He was replaced by Jota - himself returning from a hamstring injury - and was later pictured with his foot strapped up on the sidelines.
But the worst of the lot was the tackle suffered by Yosuke Ideguchi from Mouhamed Niang.
The Japanese midfielder made his first start for Celtic in Clackmannanshire and a nasty studs-up follow through arguably could have seen the Wasps man sent off while the former Gamba Osaka man was substituted for Nir Bitton.
Postecoglou will hope none of the injuries are serious enough to impact his squad selection for a tough upcoming run of league fixtures against Hearts, Dundee United, Rangers, Motherwell and Aberdeen.
