Celtic are believed to be one of several clubs interested in making a move for out of favour Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley.
The England international hasn't even been given a squad number this season with his prospects of minutes under Thomas Tuchel look bleak. After a term on loan at Aston Villa, Barkley won some minutes at Chelsea last season. In the last Premier League game of the campaign, he marked his 100th appearance for them against Watford, which proved significant as it turned out to be the final goal of previous owner Roman Abramovich's tenure.
With no squad number, the attacking midfielder has options to consider away from London, which according to GIVEMESPORT, is possibly at Celtic alongside Newcastle, West Ham and other English heavyweights. Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou is remaining active in the market even after a busy summer of business that has brought seven permanent or loan signings into Glasgow for the new season now underway.

Journalist Simon Phillip said of the link: “With Ross Barkley, he’s got a lot of other clubs interested in him at the moment.
"So it’s not just Everton. He’s got Brighton, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa and Celtic. So got plenty of options to go to.”
Tom Rogic has departed the club this summer and leaves a playmaker space at Parkhead, although David Turnbull and Matt O'Riley are capable of playing there.
