Celtic hero Sutton in cheeky 'just the two' Rangers penalty jibe

Chris Sutton has delivered a cheeky verdict on Rangers' late comeback win over Hearts.

The former Celtic striker aimed a not-so-subtle jibe at the Ibrox club as he referenced the two penalties awarded on Sunday.

Rangers had fallen behind to a headed Lawrence Shankland effort within five minutes. Later in the first half Rangers were awarded a spot-kick for a foul on Todd Cantwell. However, James Tavernier saw his penalty strike the post.

Tavernier would draw Rangers level in the 90th minute, though, as he fired home from a second penalty - this time awarded for a Peter Haring pull of the shirt on Connor Goldson.

And in stoppage time, Tavernier crossed for Danilo to head home in a sucker-punch winner against the Tynecastle side.

Commenting on the result, Sutton pointed out "just the two" penalties were awarded to Rangers in a clear jibe.

On BBC 606, Sutton said: "Rangers came from behind to win. They got two penalties today - just the two - and ended up winning late on."

Robbie Savage then questioned: "Are they not allowed to have two penalties?"

Sutton concluded: "No, they are. Lets hear about the excitement for Philippe Clement, are you moving up in the right direction?"
