Celtic hero Lou Macari was pictured with current PDC world darts champion Luke Littler at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Manchester United slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion, with ex-Celt Macari in attendance.

The now 75-year-old spent over 10 years with United after joining them from Celtic in January 1973.

He went on to make 401 appearances for the Old Trafford side, scoring 97 goals along the way.

Back visiting the famous ground on Sunday, Macari was pictured with darts sensation Littler, who paraded his Sid Waddell Trophy to the home fans at half-time:

Before his spell in Manchester, Macari spent seven years with Celtic, scoring 56 goals for the club.

He won five Scottish top-flight titles and two Scottish Cups as a player before a short stint as manager in the 1993/94 season.

His Old Trafford appearance comes as Celtic's city rivals, Rangers, prepare to travel to face United on Thursday evening in the Europa League.

Brendan Rodgers' men are also in action in Europe this week, welcoming Swiss side Young Boys to Glasgow's east end in a mammoth Champions League clash on Wednesday.
