Celtic FC news round-up: Jota outlines transfer intentions, Nicholas lays into Lennon & Griffiths on hunt for new club

Celtic FC news round-up: Jota outlines transfer intentions, Nicholas lays into Lennon & Griffiths on hunt for new club

THE dust has certainly settled from the weekend's derby draw with Rangers.

The focus has now turned to Saturday's crucial Premiership match with Hearts.

Here are the top stories from Tuesday, May 3...

Jota wants to make loan a permanent move

Celtic have reportedly informed Benfica of their intentions of moving for a permanent deal for Jota.

The Portuguese winger is on loan from Benfica and has long been linked with making a permanent switch to Glasgow in a £6.5million deal.

Jota, 23, is a fan favourite at Parkhead and wild speculation over negotiations between Celtic and Benfica has continued throughout the season.

Charlie Nic has some harsh words for Lenny

CHARLIE NICHOLAS has accused Neil Lennon of "smugness" and "anger" during his stints as Celtic manager.

The former Parkhead manager is now managing in Cyrpus and Nicholas says he lacked the respect that is now being shown by Ange Postecoglou and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Writing in the Daily Express, he said: "I loved the show of respect and humility between Ange Postecoglou and Giovanni van Bronckhorst."

Griffiths on the hunt for a new club again

LEIGH GRIFFITHS will leave Falkirk upon the expiry of his short-term deal, the club have confirmed.

The former Celtic striker joined the Bairns on a deal until the end of the season earlier this year.

The one time Scotland star spent the first half of this term on loan at Dundee.
