Celtic fans have been urged to hold a minute's applause in memory of tragic former East Kilbride Thistle boss Alan Paterson during Saturday's Premiership clash against Motherwell at Celtic Park.
Paterson, a well-known figure in Lanarkshire and East Kilbride football circles who was a massive Celtic fan, passed away last week aged 44.
Jackie Dolan has taken to social media to ask fellow Hoops fans to get involved in paying tribute to Paterson, who also played for East Kilbride, amongst other clubs.
Her post reads: "Hi, I'm looking to see if I can arrange for my fellow Celtic supporters to help contribute to a minute's applause against Motherwell on Saturday at the 44th minute for our friend Alan Paterson from East Kilbride, who sadly passed away very suddenly, aged 44!
"Huge Celtic fan and football will not be the same without him (please share)."
Paterson's death has left shock-waves throughout the Lanarkshire footballing community, and a fundraiser has been set up to help his family.
