The Old Firm ref row has raged on relentlessly with both sides of the Glasgow divide going at it hammer and tongs.
Tam Scott, Fife, emailed: "What do the Rangers fans want? Connor Goldson stops the ball with both hands going towards goal. Morelos pushed the defender with both hands. They can’t get away with it all the time." Charles Buchanan fired in his email: "Why do Rangers complain about decisions against them all the time? Didn't hear them complain when Celtic didn't get a penalty for Goldson's great save and them getting a penalty for Salaka standing on Starfelt's boot."
Dennis Martin meanwhile had something to say on spot-kicks, and silverware merits for them: "Huge congratulations to Rangers on being the only team in the SPFL not to have conceded a penalty after 31 matches, despite the lottery of VAR. It is a pity that in only 10 European fixtures they have conceded 4 penalties. They are also equal top with Aberdeen and Hearts with 9 penalties awarded, but with 7 fixtures to play there is still time to win this 'title'. Celtic are not so fortunate as they have conceded 8 penalties and awarded only 6. Not very impressive for a team at the top of the league."
Arrin Geddes, Irvine, wasn't happy with another Hotline comment: "Does Hotliner Chris Lowe want to lead the panel that picks the refs for Rangers games? You know he does, but it won’t make one bit of difference to the way his team plays and I’d be worrying more about the price paid for the stamp on the letter to the SFA, do Rangers have any spare cash left for a stamp?"
Cue the aforementioned Chris Lowe, from Yoker, who said: "The SFA's rapid response to Rangers was predictable from an organisation that goes out its way to be hostile towards Rangers. No one condones the abuse to Clancy but they were two separate issues, it was a classic deflection tactic. I also note they’ve still said nothing on the abusive banner and sectarian chant Douglas Ross was subjected to a few weeks ago."
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, added: "Isn't it strange why VAR can get so many decisions wrong in one match in favour of one team. Morelos has a perfectly good goal disallowed and the reasoning was regarding a foul, the slow motion replays prove this was initially a foul on Morelos (clear and obvious mistake by selected Kevin Clancy).
"More slow motion replays prove Jota had his hands by his side prior to Celtic's second goal but these replays also prove his elbow was motioned towards the ball in an attempt to gain a cheating advantage. Another corrupt VAR decision that was a clear and obvious error by referee Clancy."
Ralph Hamilton emailed: "Wrong decisions are helping one club only. Kevin Clancy got many decisions wrong for both sides but his result-changing good goal chopping off was the worst. But it's VAR letting everyone apart from Celtic fans down. Sky and BBC show Johnston bought the free kick."
Away from the Parkhead clash, Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: "Whether you like Dave King or not, he told it true how this board squandered all the good work of winning title 55. They sold the best players for a huge amount of money, instead of spending the cash on top quality replacements they got cut price run of the mill players with some on loan. This weakened that good 55th title winning side while our rivals across town were signing better players and getting stronger.
"Rangers are now paying the price for an uncaring board which rested on their laurels after winning title 55. A new board is badly needed and new owners."
Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: "In the absence of Reo Hatate at Kilmarnock on Saturday I’ll be watching closely if Postecoglou starts with David Turnbull. With the abundance of talent Celtic have in midfield, if he's left on the bench again it looks increasingly likely he’ll be playing his football elsewhere next season."
And Tam Bain, Desborough, emailed: "Regarding Roy Keane saying Andy Robertson is a big baby by being elbowed by the assistant ref...Robertson is an honest and fair player something Keane wasn't in all his years. Nobody is allowed to challenge him on his views. He loves controversy and so does the TV."
