Celtic duo Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate have been called up to the Japan national team.
And they're joined by a friendly face in the squad.
Kyogo has also been drafted in by head coach Hajime Moriyasu for the country's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
They face Bahrain at home on Thursday, March 20, before another game on home soil against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday 25.
Japan sit pretty at the top of their World Cup qualification group with 16 points after six games. The section also includes Australia, Indonesia and China.
They will call upon both Maeda and Hatate to help them get over the line and secure their spot at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
Of course, Kyogo left the Scottish Premiership champions during the January transfer window as he opted to take on a challenge in one of Europe's top five leagues with French side Stade Rennais.
So far though, things haven't gone to plan for the striker, with his game time severely limited in Ligue 1.
Thankfully for the former Hoops frontman, his lack of minutes hasn't hampered his Japan chances on this occasion.
