Celtic defender Auston Trusty has been forced to withdraw from international duty with the United States after failing to recover from a calf injury that kept him out of last weekend’s Scottish Premiership clash against Rangers.
Trusty’s Celtic centre-back partner Cameron Carter-Vickers is expected to feature for the first time under new USA manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The USA will take on Panama in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-finals on Thursday before facing either Mexico or Canada on Sunday in the final or third-place match.
Celtic will now monitor the defenders fitness closely, with Brendan Rodgers hopeful the former Sheffield United man can recover in time for their next league fixture against Heart of Midlothian after the international break.
