Celtic defender Stephen Welsh is 'open' to a loan move to English League One outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
According to The Star, the Coatbridge ace is understood to be considering a move away from Parkhead for the second half of the season having made just six appearances for the Hoops this season and is 'open' to the Owls.
Welsh's last outing for the Premeirship leaders came in October during a 2-1 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou is said to be reluctant to let the centre-back leaves, but Welsh is way down the pecking order at Parkhead.
Teams in Scotland and other sides down south are also said to be monitoring Welsh's situation as the clock tocks down towards the 11pm deadline in England and the midnight finish in Scotland.
The 23-year-old, who is a product of the Celtic youth academy, signed a new contract with the club in April 2021 that is due to run until 2025.
