Celtic defender Josip Juranovic has been given a significant guarantee he will be a part of Croatia's World Cup squad.
The former Legia Warsaw man has been called up for the upcoming Nations League fixtures, which include games against Denmark and Austria.
It will be the last chance for boss Zlatko Dalic to have a look at his players before the tournament in Qatar, which will see the runners-up from the 2018 competition take on Morocco, Canada and Belgium in the group stage phase.
The Hoops right-back has been in sensational form this season, including two stellar performances against Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
And now he is the favourite for a starting position on the right-hand side of the Croatia defence.
Speaking to Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti, the national team coach said: "The candidates for right back in Qatar are Juranovic and Stanisic.
"Juranovic's place for the World Cup squad is unquestionable.
"Stanisic is in the squad because although he is not playing at Bayern Munich at the moment, he did well in our last matches against Denmark and France.
"I hope he will play at Bayern in the future."
