Former Celtic player Thomas Gravesen has backed countryman Kasper Schmeichel to be Denmark's No.1 for years to come.
Schmeichel was injured playing for Denmark as they crashed out of the Nations League after an extra-time defeat in Portugal.
Despite still making saves when he had a crocked shoulder, the 38-year-old has been the subject of criticism in his homeland for some of the goals he lost.
However, former Real Madrid star Gravesen - who had a spell with Celtic before retiring when he was released in 2008 - has backed Schmeichel to keep going.
He said: "Kasper Schmeichel is having a great season for Celtic and has kept a record amount of clean sheets.
"I keep hearing that he's too old now but who would replace him?
"We have Mads Hermansen who is the goalkeeper of Leicester City - the worst team in the Premier League. And we have Filip Jorgensen who is on the bench for Chelsea every week.
"Kasper will be our goalkeeper for a number of years yet."

Meanwhile, Gravesen has urged Denmark to beware of Greece in the World Cup group after watching them blow away Scotland.
Gravesen said: "I watched Greece play Scotland in the Nations League games and of course both are in our World Cup group.
"Greece completely overpowered the Scots, so we must expect that the toughest opponent in our group will be the Greeks."
