Celtic have confirmed fans’ away allocations for their blockbuster away ties in the Champions League.
Ange Postecoglou’s side drew Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk in their first foray into the lucrative group stage since the 2017/18 campaign. Fans were given the opportunity to snap up ticket pages for the home fixtures last week but have eagerly awaiting news on the prospect of away trips on the continent.
It was revealed last week that visiting supporters would receive a reduced allocation for their visit to the Bernabeu, with only 1800 being dished out to Celtic fans. And now the club’s supporter liaison officer has revealed the allocations for away ties against Leipzig and Shakhtar. SLO John Paul Taylor has confirmed fans will receive 2300 briefs for visit to the 47,000-capacity Red Bull Arena in Germany and 1500 for their match in the Stadion Wojska Polskiego in Warsaw, with the clash being moved to Poland due to the war in Ukraine.
Celtic kick off their group stage campaign next week - Tuesday, September 6 - with a monumental clash with current holders Real Madrid at Parkhead.
