Welcome to the wacky world of the Hotline , where more Hoops fans called to have a dig at Rangers than to celebrate their own clubs' success... and the Gers fans were so busy gloating they barely noticed that the trophy they so longed for during the barren banter years is heading back across the city.

Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: "Of course getting to the Europa League final is a good achievement but the way the fans are carrying on you would think it was the biggest trophy of all (there’s one of those at Celtic). Rangers play a team sitting 12th in the Bundesliga, which tells you the big teams are not interested in this trophy."
William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: "To the Hotliner who said us Celtic fans will be more obsessed that Rangers might win the Europa League than us celebrating winning the league - nonsense! If Rangers do win it then they'll have done well to do it. But winning the league has always been our priority. Everything else is always a bonus."

Michael Emonds, Northampton, emailed: "George Wilson’s daily obsession with Celtic continues, he’s now concerned about Celtic celebrating our title win, don’t worry Mr Wilson just watch Glasgow turn green on Saturday.
"How’s this for a celebration? Just imagine his team win the Europa League, then the Scottish Cup and top it off by winning the European Super Cup, they could have celebrated with their fans in Australia in November by parading their haul of trophies. but they didn’t have the bottle and chickened out so there won’t be any celebrations down under."

Myself and fellow Rangers fans are desperately keen to complete what has already been an amazing achievement and win the Europa League final. Or all the Celtic supporters who will be desperately hoping and praying that fate or Eintracht Frankfurt will intervene and prevent what would be their worst nightmare. The Celtic supporters shouldn’t be worried because according to them we have beaten nobody and have been incredibly lucky so this must run out soon."
Drew Ferguson, Oban, said: "I see the bookies have Eintracht Frankfurt as favourites to win the Europa League. This is the same bookies that had Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade and RB Leipzig as big favourites against Glasgow Rangers. Will they ever learn?"
John Davidson, Armadale, said: "Wishing the Celtic fans all the best with their wee organised knees up on Saturday. Come Wednesday night around 11pm, Glasgow will be blue and there will be a real party."
Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, asked: "Can any of the 250,000 Celtic supporters suggest any places to visit for our stay in Seville? Places of interest, bars and restaurants. I understand that a lot has changed in 20 years but any advice would be appreciated."
Disgruntled Hibs fan George Fairgrieve emailed: "What a sorry state Hibs are in, yet another goal lost to an unmarked Mulligan header. The team comprises too many utility players, loyal servants and ageing warhorses who are simply not good enough."

Considering Haaland is a far better player than Ronaldo is, he would be wise to ignore anything Ronaldo has to say but should instead listen to Robert Lewandowski, who is the best player in the world."
