Celtic brutally troll Rangers over construction issues

Celtic have taken a sly dig at Rangers and their construction issues at Ibrox.

The Scottish Premiership champions didn't miss a beat as they showed off video footage of their new training ground.

Works are ongoing at the Barrowfield Training Centre in Glasgow's east end. This will become the new home for the Hoops' academy, as well as their women's first team.

Taking to social media, they wrote: "The Champions Forge ahead. Work progresses at pace at #CelticFC's new East End Training Centre."

This comes a day after it became clear Rangers would be unable to fulfil fixtures at Ibrox for at least the first month of the 2024/25 season.

There is a delay with the delivery of parts for the works going on to the Copland Road stand, with improvements being made to the club's disabled facilities.

Therefore, this means Philippe Clement and his players could potentially play away from Ibrox even when the season is underway.

Hampden Park and Murrayfield have both been touted as potential solutions for the club.

The SPFL state they will work with Rangers to mitigate those factors when drawing up the fixtures ahead of the new league campaign. These are due for release on Thursday, July 27.

Kieran Tierney admits he's 'heartbroken' to have been ruled out the rest of Euro 2024 through injury.

The former Celtic defender was forced off with a serious-looking injury during Scotland's 1-1 draw with Switzerland on Wednesday night.

As the Arsenal player attempted to challenge Swiss striker Dan Ndoye, the 27-year-old pulled up in agony as he immediately clutched his hamstring.

He had to be stretchered off just after the hour-mark, as Scott McKenna was brought on by Steve Clarke as his replacement.

It was today confirmed that Tierney will play no further part in the tournament for the Scots, and it comes as a bitter blow to both the player himself and the national team.
