Jason Cundy has branded Celtic a fourth tier team as he took aim at Scottish football during a talkSPORT radio rant.
The motormouth show host claimed the Scottish champions are 'bang average' and popped at them for being out of the Champions League before Halloween during an on air debate with co-host Jamie O'Hara - who claimed Celtic were 'unlucky' and they are not at the low level Cundy claims.
Ange Postecoglou's men needed to defeat Shakhtar Donetsk in Glasgow's east end to take hopes of reaching the Europa League knockout stage into the final games in the section and they got off to the perfect start when Giorgos Giakoumakis slammed home just after the half hour. However, highly-rated and special talent Mykhaylo Mudryk produced a stunning piece of magic to silence Parkhead and make sure his side will at minimum be in Europe's second tier competition after Christmas with last 16 hopes for them still alive.

Rangers also face the daunting task of a trip to Naples to face Champions League and Serie A high-flyers Napoli tonight with the pressure on boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst after a string of poor performances. In Europe they are four defeats from four in the group while last time out in the Premiership they dropped home points to Livingston.
Cundy said on talkSPORT's Sports Bar programme: "Has anyone seen [Ange] Postecoglou?! Has anyone seen Scottish football?! Bang average! My word.
"It's not even Halloween and you lot are out!"
He continued: "I'm thinking do you know what, there's no reason why these Scottish sides can't do something right?
"Then all of a sudden you realise, actually, they are MILES off it. They're not even close."
Co-pundit Jamie O'Hara, chipped in to defend the Hoops, saying: "Celtic were unlucky tonight."
But Cundy hit back: "Unlucky what? To win a corner? They are fourth tier."
O'Hara replied: "They're not fourth tier! What do you mean!?"
Cundy went on: "They are! They've got two points from eight games.
"What more evidence do you need, seriously, what more evidence do you need?
"And you're right, the money makes a difference but the reality is that Scottish football is light-years behind."
