Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has surpassed all of our expectations, says Andy Walker

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has passed all expectations set by Andy Walker and his brothers.

The ex-Hoops striker and Sky Sports pundit has six siblings who go to Parkhead and they all discussed what would be deemed acceptable after the Aussie boss landed the job.

They agreed cutting the gap on Rangers to single points and one Old Firm win would be a success before a ball was kicked this campaign.

Fast forward to the final standings and Celtic reclaimed the Premiership title and put the Premier Sports Cup in the Parkhead trophy cabinet.

Not to mention going 32 games unbeaten in the league and the success in the transfer market with the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Joe Hart and Josip Juranovic.

On Postecoglou's maiden campaign, Walker said: "He finished the season by going 32 games unbeaten in the league and I never thought I'd be saying that when you look at what he had to bring in and the turnover in the squad.

"You look at his success in the transfer market. It's hard to find any of his signings who haven't made an impact. The turnaround has been extraordinary.

"I have six brothers and they all go to Celtic home games. We had a chat at the start of the season about what would be deemed a success.

"It was decided success would be if Ange could get that 25-point gap down to single figures, if Celtic could beat Rangers at least once and if they were going along to Celtic Park every week enjoying what they were seeing.

"If you got that, you'd let it go in the first season if the title wasn't to be, but Postecoglou has way surpassed any expectations.

"Celtic have been a great watch for the best part of the campaign. Now let's see if they can keep that up.

"They have been poor in Europe and that's an area where they can improve.

"Winning the League Cup was good, but with their league form, the fans were getting value for money watching this Celtic team."
