World Cup-bound Claire O’Riordan is leaving Celtic, the Scottish Cup winners have announced.
The defender is one of a number of players on their way out, after a campaign which saw the club win the Cup against Rangers and fail narrowly to win the league title.
“Celtic FC can confirm that Claire O'Riordan will depart the club after spending last season in the Hoops. Thank you for everything, and all the best in your next venture,” read a tweet from the Glasgow side.
O’Riordan scored their second goal in the 2-0 win over Rangers - a performance that helped earn her a spot in Vera Pauw’s World Cup squad.
She spent one season at Celtic after moving there from MSV Duisburg last summer.
O’Riordan wrote on social media: “Thank you Celtic for an unforgettable season for my family and I. Together, we have created memories to cherish forever. Honoured to have played for this club and the best fans.
“Wishing you all the best for the season ahead. I will be yer biggest fan. I hope we see each other again. Hail hail.”
