Celtic and Rangers fans get extra train carriages as Scotrail issue strict Viaplay Cup final travel advice

ScotRail have announced they will be adding more seats to their Sunday service for the first Hampden final between rivals Celtic and Rangers for in four years.

A sell-out crowd is set to descend on Mount Florida for the eagerly anticipated Viaplay Cup final showdown at the National Stadium where the first piece of silverware of the 2022/23 SPFL season is up for grabs. And extra carriages are to be added to services between Glasgow Central station and Kings Park and Mount Florida. The match kicks off at 3pm and fans are being urged to allow extra travelling time as queuing systems will be in operation both before the game and after the full time whistle.

Separate queues will also be in place at Glasgow Central with Celtic fans in the main concourse for their Kings Park Service and Rangers supporters at the Hope Street entrance for trains bound for Mount Florida station. Fans are also being urged to buy their tickets in advance to avoid any delays.
