Rangers and Celtic's B teams are hoping to continue playing in the Lowland League next season.
The Colts sides have been plying their trade in the fifth tier of Scottish football this term following a positive vote before the season began.
It was initially set to be a one-off experiment but the Daily Mail claim both sides have contacted teams in the division with a view to a second term in the competition.
The publication claims a general meeting of clubs later this month will see SLFL clubs listen to presentations from both clubs before taking another vote with next season in mind.
Both Celtic and Rangers pay £25,000 each for participation in the league at this time.
A Lowland League spokesperson told the Mail: "A formal discussion about any future involvement of guest clubs is scheduled to take place at our planned General Meeting with clubs later this month.
"As ever, we are open to ideas that can progress the Lowland League - and Scottish football as a whole - but it has to be a collaborative process with our members."
