Celtic 4 Aberdeen 0 as Hoops continue relentless title charge, Kyogo fit - 3 things we learned

Celtic put Aberdeen out of sight inside the first 13 minutes as their relentless charge for the title continues.

Ange Postecoglou's men have not allowed rivals Rangers a sniff at closing the nine point gap at the top with the Hoops making it 24 wins from 26 league games to date. Skipper Callum McGregor got the home fans off their feet inside the first two minutes as he fired beyond Aberdeen's Jay Gorter. The home side dominated throughout and doubled their advantage just over ten minutes later.

A superb move ended with Reo Hatate collecting the ball before drilling a low effort into the back of the net. VAR also played a part with a penalty initially awarded to the Hoops ruled out for an offside call in the build-up. during the first 45 minutes. They then grabbed a third with 15 minutes to play with Hatate adding a second to his tally before Liel Abada fired home a fourth to make sure of a comfortable home win. It's the perfect result heading into next week's League Cup Final with the Celtic boss now left with the headache of selecting his starting team and subs for that Hampden showdown with Michael Beale. Here's three things we learned from Glasgow's east end.

Kyogo Watch

Ange Postecoglou made the big call to start the red-hot in-form attacker on the bench.

You'd imagine the Celtic boss has one eye on next weekend against Rangers in the League Cup Final.

The Japan international did come on for the final 20 minutes and has came through unscathed in a huge boost to all involved at Parkhead.

He's on 22 goals for the season to date and you wouldn't put it past him to smash the 30-goal barrier very soon.

Competition is high

Ange Postecoglou really does have many riches at his disposal now at Celtic.

When you consider the bench was made up of Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, Sead Haksabanovic, James Forrest and more it really shows the strength and depth in Glasgow's east end.

Of course, a huge game is on the horizon with the League Cup Final against Rangers next weekend.

Any player in both the starting team or bench would fancy themselves in the starting side, and that is the big call facing the Hoops gaffer this week with his stars out to impress both from today and in the week of training to come.

Relentless charge

This Celtic side don't ever seem like they are going to let up.

Another three points for Ange Postecoglou's table toppers makes it a stunning 24 league wins in 26 games.

Only Rangers and St Mirren have taken points from the champions this season. Both games on the road.

The Hoops' 100 per cent home record remains with all eyes now on Rangers next week.

It only took Callum McGregor TWO minutes to break the deadlock and the game was never in doubt from that point. Reo Hatate added a second on 13 minutes before a second of the game with 15 minutes to play. Liel Abada also got in on the act late on in a thumping big win over the Dons.
