Celebrities and TV personalities have reacted to the “unsettling” news Queen Elizabeth II is “under medical supervision” at Balmoral as doctors remain concerned for her health.
Buckingham Palace has released a statement confirming the 96-year-old monarch is being closely monitored at her Scottish residence. It said: "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.
“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."

Following the news, it was confirmed several members of the Royal Family have travelled to Balmoral Castle to be by their matriarch’s side, prompting waves of concern across the country. Prince Charles, Camilla, Princess Anne and Prince William have already arrived, while Prince Harry is said to be making his way to be by his Grandmother's side.
Swathes of celebrities and TV personalities have taken to social media to react to the “unsettling” news.
The Apprentice star and entrepreneur Lord Alan Sugar said: “Sorry to hear the breaking news that Her Majesty the Queen is now under doctor supervision. I am sure the whole nation will join me in wishing her well for a speedy recovery.”
Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid said: “No one more likely to be so loved, admired and respected than Her Majesty The Queen and although she cannot be immortal, I think we have always hoped she might be,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker described the news as “very worrying,” while Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre simply said: “Praying for our Queen.” Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis tweeted: “We're all thinking of Her Majesty at this time - and wish her well.”
The news comes just two days after The Queen met new Prime Minister Liz Truss at Balmoral, where she invited the winner of the Conservative leadership contest to form a government. Reacting to the news, Truss said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.
“My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
Leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer said: “Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon. My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery.”
The nation's longest-reigning monarch has taken a step back from many of her Royal duties in recent months, as she has reportedly been dealing with mobility issues. During Tuesday's meeting with Liz Truss, she was pictured looking frail while holding a walking stick, despite appearing her usual cheerful self.
