Celebrity Tipping Point hopefuls only separated by tie-breaker question in tense episode

Tipping Point returned today with a celebrity special episode. Ex-Apprentice aide Nick Hewer, Coronation Street's Joe Duttine and stand-up comedian Zoe Lyons attempted to win the £20,000 jackpot for their chosen charities.

Nick Hewer's firm but fair approach as one of Lord Sugar's aides, alongside Karen Brady, saw him find fame. Meanwhile, Joe Duttine currently plays Tim Metcalfe in Coronation Street. Duttine is also known for his role as Cameron Donnelly in Shameless.

Zoe Lyons is regularly seen on programmes such as Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo and recently opened up about her experiences of alopecia. After the first round, Nick took a mammoth early lead with £1000 in his cash pot, ahead of Zoe's £200. Joe was yet to get off the mark.

Nick's fortunes continued early into the second cash builder, with another £900 added to his tally. Joe's bad day continued, with just one counter falling, leaving him with "just enough for the taxi home".

After a whopping 22 counters falling in her second round, Zoe took the lead with £24,000 going into the head-to-head. Almost £2000 behind his contestants, Joe was eliminated after the second round.

After the final round, the contestants were tied on £2700 and could only be separated by a sudden death question. It saw Zoe head through to have her attempt at the jackpot £20,000 counter.

Despite not taking home the £20,000 jackpot, Zoe took home £6600 for her chosen charity the Marine Conservation Society, a charity aiming for "safer, healthier oceans in the future".
