Celebrity Masterchef fans are convinced some of the stars may had a helping hand during tonight's episode.
BBC viewers took to social media as the latest installment of the culinary show aired to share their suspicions the star-studded line-up got some advice from the professional off-camera as they whipped up some tricky dishes.
Things heated up in the kitchen in the episode broadcast earlier this evening [August 11], as former Love Island star Faye Winter, McFly singer Danny Jones, Paul Chuckle and Kae Kurd battled it out for a place in the quarter final.
The first challenge was a Knowledge and Skills Test, where the celebrities tried their best to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace during a terrifying one-on-one.
As the stars got to work whipping up the classic dessert of floating islands in crème anglaise in just 20 minutes, viewers watching home were dubious about how well the celebrities handled the challenge.
"Loving watching #MasterChef tonight... the celebrities haven't got a clue what they are doing... but by some miracle they are managing to make something close to the recipe they've never heard of..." one viewer sarcastically mused on Twitter as the show aired.
Another agreed, adding: "Watching #CelebrityMasterChef.
"There is NO WAY these celebs can make this dessert without knowing anything at all, or at least seeing a photo. They’ve obviously had help."
"Looks very rehearsed to me, #CelebrityMasterChef," a third suspected, as another wrote: "I’m pretty certain they’ve edited out John & Greg(g) telling the contestants what they have to do…#CelebrityMasterchef."
Amongst the many suspicious comments, one viewer quipped: "There is NO WAY that they have not had any guidance for this … nobody, who has not either seen a picture, or, read some instructions could do this #CelebrityMasterChef."
Elsewhere in the episode, the celebrities were joined by professional chef Chantelle Nicholson who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants for over 15 years to offer some helpful advice in the Masterchef studio.
Ultimately, it was time to say goodbye to one of the celebrity-turn-chefs on tonight's show, thanks to only three spots available in next week's quarter-final.
Sadly for stand-up comedian Kae, he was confirmed as the celebrity whose journey on the show had come to an end, as the judges opted to put Faye, Danny and Paul through to the quarter-final.
"QUARTER FINALISTS!!! I personally cannot believe it!" Paul tweeted after the show aired, alongside a snap of himself with his fellow finalists.
