Celebrity Masterchef contestant Kitty Scott Claus has made it clear what she thinks of the show's judge John Torode. Throughout her time on the latest series the former RuPaul's Drag Race star has flirted with the Australian celebrity chef.
At one point she even said: John loves me." But on Monday's episode Kitty was left shocked to discover John was married to a previous Celebrity Masterchef contestant.
When asked by fellow judge Greg Wallace what she wanted Kitty replied: "Apart from John Torode, I would like a spot in the final." Gregg told her: "You know John is already married to a Masterchef winner - so if that is going to be your route it's not a bad idea." Stunned Kitty replied: "Oh my ....John!"
Many will know the identity of the mystery wife mentioned by Greg as she and her husband host their own cooking programme. John pairs up with wife Lisa Faulkner for ITV's John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen. But for those who don't, this is who Lisa Faulkner is.
Lisa Faulkner is an actress who has appeared in EastEnders, Holby City, Casualty, Brookside plus a host of other shows. She first met John on This Morning in 1990 but later appeared on Celebrity Masterchef, taking the title in the 2010 series, beating Christine Hamilton and Dick Strawbridge in the final.
The pair began dating after John had gone through a tough separation from his first wife. It was reported that he wrote her a letter to ask her for a date as he was worried she would say no.
In January 2019 Lisa revealed John had proposed to her on Christmas Day 2018. They went on to marry in October 2019.
Posting on Instagram after the wedding Lisa wrote: “Cue the wedding spam for the next few weeks! Apologies in advance. Yesterday I married the man of my dreams and we had the BEST Day EVER, filled with all our family and friends and such Love.”
In another post John said: “Officially married the girl of my dreams yesterday.”
