Celebrity Juice cancelled by ITV as Keith Lemon hails 'the most fun party'

Celebrity Juice has been cancelled by ITV after 14 years, as host Keith Lemon hailed his time presenting 'the most fun party'.

The presenter, whose real name is Leigh Francis, broke the news to fans on Wednesday morning. The funnyman also revealed that the show will go out with a bang - with two farewell specials.

Leigh, 48, wrote on Twitter: "After 14 years, 26 series, 300 episodes, Celebrity Juice is concluding later this year with two farewell specials. Thank you so so much to everyone who watched, to the team captains, guests, crew and ITV2.

"It was the longest most fun party. I had a wonderful time. Big love."

Leigh also shared a hilarious video of different funny moments from the show, which first aired in 2008. Fans flocked to his comments to share their sadness in the series ending.

One Twitter user wrote: "I don’t know I to feel. this show has been amazing I can’t believe we’re going to be saying goodbye. I’m heartbroken but happy to been apart of such a hilarious journey." Another said: "Been brilliant this is so sad."

A third wrote: "Noooooooo it’s my favourite show. It’s been a blast. I’ve laughed myself stupid lol. Thanks so much for doing it Keith. I guess I’ll have to watch repeats." And another added: "Awwww I'd always hoped to make the long trek from America and see a taping one day. Guess it was time but still."

Finally, one concluded: "A bonkers but brilliant show, I've seen things on there I never thought I would! How the team came up with some of the ideas is beyond me. Thank you for the laughs." Celebrity Juice first began with host Keith Lemon in September 2008, with team captains including Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby.

Fearne left the show four years ago in 2018, after a decade on the programme. The 40-year-old was replaced by Paddy McGuinness for a season, before the infamous Mel B took over from him.

This Morning host Holly Willoughby left in 2020 after 12 years on the show, and a whopping 23 seasons. Soon after her departure, it was announced that Love Island's Laura Whitmore, and Emily Atack would be new team captains.

Then, in 2021, Maya Jama confirmed she would become a regular panellist on Celebrity Juice. The show ran for 25 seasons.
