Celebrity Gogglebox star Gyles Brandreth shared that he was "in great pain" after falling over in the street. The writer and former politician, who appeared on This Morning with his arm in a sling on August 31, explained how he had fallen over in Fife.
During the fall he pulled his wife down with him, and fortunately she was not hurt. Gyles told hosts Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes: "I tripped over my own big feet...I broke my humerus. It isn't funny," reports Birmingham Live.
"It's broken in two places. The pain is not very good." Gyles told ITV viewers that he was on painkillers and liquid morphine following the incident. And he added that he was experiencing an unusual side effect as he said he kept getting hiccups.

He praised the ambulance service as he said paramedics arrived within three minutes of the fall. He said they had now become "friends for life". Gyles added: "Two cars stopped...I was taken to hospital and NHS Fife delivered as far as I am concerned."
Gyles was joined on the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox by Absolutely Fabulous star, Dame Joanna Lumley, and Carol Vorderman. He has previously appeared with Sheila Hancock and Maureen Lipman.
