Celebrity Gogglebox star Chris Packham's life from children to Asperger's diagnosis

Chris Packham has joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his step daughter Megan McCubbin. The Channel 4 hit show returned for another series after a short break.

Chris has proved to be quite a hit as he left viewers in hysterics as he appeared in an unusual NASA jumper and dished out some dry jokes. It didn’t take long for fans to share their reactions online.

The TV star got his first big break in 1986 when he worked on the CBBC kids' nature programme The Really Wild Show, which ran until 1995.

Is Chris Packham married and does he have children

Chris is in a long-term relationship with Charlotte Corney, the owner of the Isle of Wight Zoo. The couple have been dating since 2010. Despite being in a long term relationship together, they have decided not to live together.

Speaking about how they met, Charlotte previously told Radio Times: "Chris and I met professionally when he visited the zoo that I run on the Isle of Wight. He tells me now that he knew that day that I was The One. I had no idea of this, and at the time, I was with my ex-partner anyway."

She continued: "Then in 2007 Chris did a voiceover on a programme that was filmed at the zoo. He made a huge effort to come to the launch of the film so that he could meet me again."

Chris doesn't have biological children but does have a stepdaughter from a previous relationship, Megan McCubbin.

Chris’s Asperger’s

Chris previously presented the 2017 documentary Asperger’s and Me, which explored his own diagnosis with the condition. After fronting that programme, he was flooded with letters from autistic people discussing their own experiences.

Partner Charlotte previously spoke about how he initially hid the fact that he was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, with Charlotte explaining: "It was about five years before he told me he has autism, and that was only because I asked."
