As the Democratic convention in Chicago gears up, Hollywood celebrities are once again showing their enthusiastic support for the party's presidential ticket. This echoes the high level of celebrity involvement seen during Barack Obama's presidential nomination in 2008.

John Legend, a familiar face from the 2008 and 2020 conventions, is scheduled to headline a show for Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker. On Wednesday, 'Veep' star Julia Louis-Dreyfus will host a panel featuring the country's eight female Democratic governors. Additionally, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are set to perform at a benefit concert organized by the Creative Coalition, a Hollywood advocacy nonprofit.

Notable actors expected to attend include Tim Daly, Uzo Aduba, Anthony Anderson, Iain Armitage, Yvette Nicole Brown, David Cross, Jon Cryer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Danai Gurira, Richard Kind, Busy Philipps, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

While high-profile speakers are still being confirmed, rumors are circulating about potential appearances by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, both of whom endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020. Fans are eagerly anticipating whether these music icons will make an appearance at the convention.

The merging of pop culture and politics is once again evident as celebrities lend their voices and support to the Democratic convention, highlighting the significant role that entertainment figures play in shaping public discourse and political engagement.
