Celebrity e-fit lookalikes as 'Harry Kane' doppelganger sought by police

Harry Kane may have just become the latest celebrity to discover they have a criminal doppelganger.

Police have released an e-fit that appears to have a slight resemblance to the England and Bayern Munich striker as they search for someone linked to a south-west London robbery.

Following the e-fit release, it didn't take long for social media users to spot the lookalike and mention Kane in the comments.

"Looks like Richmond Upon Thames Police are looking for Harry Kane!" wrote on social media user.

Another joked: "I thought "Harry moved to Munich."

Kane isn't the only star that's been linked to suspects wanted by the police. Here are all the celebrities that share an uncanny resemblance to e-fit and CCTV images.

David Schwimmer

In 2019, a David Schwimmer "lookalike" was jailed for theft and fraud after he was caught on camera.

Abdulah Husseini, then aged 36, went viral when police shared an image of CCTV footage that appeared to have a strong resemblance to the Friends star.

Schwimmer himself even got involved after the post, writing: "Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York.

"To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation," alongside the hashtag #itwasntme.

Husseini was eventually convicted after a two-day trial of one count of theft and four counts of fraud by false representation.

Bryan Cranston

In 2019, US police released a mugshot of a man they were looking for linked to the possession of meth.

However, his image went viral for different reasons, with some suggesting that he shared the resemblance of Walter White, Bryan Cranston's meth-making Breaking Bad character.

This criminal was compared to Bryan Cranston's Breaking Bad character Walter White (Galesburg, IL Police Department)

"Brian (sic) Cranston is looking rough," one social media joked in regard to the image.

Another wrote on the police social media post: "Have you tried 308, negro arroyo lane, Albuquerque, New Mexico?"

George Clooney

In 2018, a video was shared of a front porch where a man took a parcel that had been delivered by a United Parcel Service (UPS) driver.

According to reports, some social media users likened the person to George Clooney.

The City of Tallahassee Police later revealed that they'd arrested the person, and it definitely wasn't Clooney himself.

Bear Grylls

In 2018, social media sleuths thought they'd caught the British adventurer and television presenter Bear Grylls after someone shared CCTV footage of an office being burgled.

The social media post wrote: "These two b******s broke into our office Thursday night in London and stole all our camera equipment.

"We are a small business and rely on that equipment. If you have any more information on them, please let me know. Retweets appreciated."

It turns out Grylls had a lookalike, with many people rushing to the comments to highlight the resemblance between the burglar and the TV presenter.

Woody Harrelson

Police were unable to identify the person they were looking for linked to a beer burglary.

So, after deciding he had a resemblance to the American actor Woody Harrelson, they ran an image of the star through their systems to identify his lookalike.

Apparently, the strategy worked and New York police were able to make an arrest afterwards.
